Thor German Shepherd Dog Adult Male for sale in Sumter, South Carolina

Thor's story
Thor was found as a stray in rural Sumter County.  He was very skinny and had heartworm disease.  He is neutered, vaccinated and treated for his heartworm disease and he just received the six month ProHeart shot.  Thor beat heartworms!!   Thor is a calm dog, good with cats and other dogs.   He is good with older children and adults, but will pick a human to bond over and protect.   Thor needs a yard and lots of time to run and exercise.  For this reason, please do not apply for Thor if you curretnly live in an apartment complex.  Thor went to basic obedience classes with one of our volunteers and passed with flying colors!  Thor is estimated to be between 1.5- to 2.5 years old.  Thor is in a foster home in the Sumter SC area.  An approved application is required to come and meet Thor as he is at someone's home.  Have another dog and want to see if they get along?  You must bring any potential fur siblings to the meet & greet!  A fit for the whole family is very important to us at Windy Ridge.  Please fill out an application and send it in if you are interested in this handsome boy! **COURTESY POST** All applications received will be forwarded to Thor's rescuer for processing and final decisions on adoptions.
We work with many rescues and strive to find every rescue in our care a great home. Sometimes that means transferring that pet to another location where adoption may be more likely.
If you are interesting in meeting any of our pets, the process is to complete an application.  It can be downloaded as a pdf document from our website and submitted by email to WindyRidgeRescue@gmail.com  as a scanned document or as photos.
Because we are foster based, we require an approved application to schedule a meet and greet. We feel that is fair to our fosters and rescues so every meet and greet can result in an adoption.
Adoption fees are negotiable but our goal is to break even on a pet's medical expenses, although we know that will be the exception and not the case most of the time. Average adoption fees in the area range from $175 up to $450.
As with every rescue, our resources are limited and the need for rescue help is unlimited. Your generosity helps us to rescue more.
Adopting or fostering for a rescue frees up a space where a new rescue can reside.
If you can't adopt or foster, than please consider donating.
