Maintenance Mechanic in Sumter, South Carolina

 Tooling:

Ability to build fixtures for a variety of different assemblies to aid in the production process and prevent quality issues.

• Skills Required:
  
• Ability read blue prints
• Welding and torch cutting skills
• Experience in fabrication and use of some equipment, bandsaw, forming press

Maintenance

• Analyze Mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment, plan for and takes proper corrective action.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, repair and perform routine and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and machinery used in our production process
• Access and use schematics, diagrams, technical orders and blueprints for problem solving
• Devise planned response to critical maintenance problems
• Test equipment to check operation and perform routine inspections
• Participate readily in "root cause" problem identification, solving, project implementation and continuous improvement.
• Greet and provide outside contractors with safety orientation to the facility, hazard communication and PPE.
• Arrange for and maintain inventory of maintenance material, tools, supplies and repair parts at required levels.
• Communicate regularly and advise Maintenance Coordinator throughout the day.
• May lead or support efforts to provide training and machinery guidance to team-members.
• Maintain the landscape and real property for the company.

Skills Required:

• Strong Mechanical & Electrical aptitude including hydraulics and pneumatic
• Demonstrated understanding of schematics and blueprints.
• Equipment maintenance and repair work experience
• Ability to develop a preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to mange a large number of projects
• Highly organized and goal driven 
• Computer literate
• Communicate effectively in speaking, writing and listening
